^23 (A)Turning to the disciples, He said privately, “Blessed are the eyes that see the things you see; ²⁴ for I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see the things that you see, and did not see them, and to hear the things that you hear, and did not hear them.”

^25 (B)And behold, a ^[a](C)lawyer stood up and put Him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”
